Hectic. :) But nice.

Hello, my lovelies.

I am going to be gone for a little longer than I thought - I am staying at my sister's house in Austin, helping her, my mom, and my brother's sweet wife get ready for our Italy trip! Woohoo! However, that means I am away from the internet most of the time.

I will keep posting as soon as life calms down again - but seeing as I board a plane to Rome THIS WEEK, it could be a while. ;) I'll post here and there, but I won't be back in full swing until after the new year.

Happy Christmas, and a fabulous the new year! I love you, foxy ones.

A bit of art to brighten your day

Good afternoon, my lovelies!

I am a bit late posting today because.... I move TOMORROW. That's right, I will be a "personal stylist based in Tyler, Tx" as of tomorrow. Husband's job = we are vagabonds. ;)
Since I am surrounded by housewares, naturally I'm thinking of decor for our new place. I love this:

Vespa Love
Find it here.

So happy. :)
I also love this dress - incredibly sexy & classic:

Marcella Moda
Party Dress
find it here.

Cool thing too - this vendor is having a sale, and donating part of her profits to UNICEF. Feels good the give back while looking fabulous. :)

Much love, my darlings.

ps - I might be MIA for a few days during the move. I will miss you. :) Check back - because I won't be moving forever! mwah.

Sunday love + what to get your super cute mama

Hello loves. :)
I took yesterday off to have a long, leisurely pajama brunch/spa party with some lovely friends of mine. We did facials, mani/pedis, and watched "The Holiday." Twas wonderful. It got me thinking more about Christmas gifts... My family is forgoing gifts this year, since we are going to Italy together. However, I still love to think about what they would love.

Today, I love these earrings for my mother:

In the Rough Earrings
find it here.

These would make such a great gift for mom. Classic with a bit of an edge.

What are you getting your mama this year? I'm still thinking... ;)

Ok, it's not exactly fashion...

Have you seen this site?

It is an art site, full of beautiful work you can buy for reasonable prices.
With Christmas coming up, I was thinking about great, thoughtful gift ideas. I especially love this:
Ideal Bookshelf 101
by Jane Mount
Prices vary by size
find it here.

The concept is a "shelf" of someone's favorite books. Each on is customized. What a lovely gift!

Do you give art as gifts? It is so personal, but if done right, can be so perfect.

Happy Friday, darlings!

Since the weekend is beginning, I wanted to let you all in on a little secret of mine:
This is a members-only designer club, which has daily offers of 50-75% off on designer items from jeans, to shirts, to beauty products, to vacation packages... It is awesome. :)

To access the site, follow this link:

You can sign up to get daily emails about the deals. It is pretty great, because it is free and gives you something to look forward when you check your email.
I highly recommend it. Have a GREAT Friday!

Sexy. lacy. party dress.

Hello, gorgeous dolls!
I went to my first Christmas party of the season last night. Everyone was really cute. It was a casual party, so I wore a navy sequined top, black cardigan, jeans, and black riding boots. The vibe was super-chill, and we had a great time drinking cider and playing Taboo. :)
It got me thinking yet again about great holiday garb. I do so love dressing up, and the holiday season is such a nice time to do it because you have such fun options.

I love LOVE Free People (having worked there for many years, how could I not?!?), and I found this amazing piece on their website:

 Free People
Goddess Dress
Find it here.
I would love to put some pretty tights with it, and an ankle boot or riding boot. To casual-ize it, you could add a cardigan, or you could really do up your hair and makeup to make it fancy....
Wouldn't this be a a great dress to get you through several parties in style? Sigh - so beautiful.

I am looking forward to getting it in a few days to see how it fits... I got the black, so it can go with everything. Yay for basic, beautiful items!

I love holiday nails... sigh. :)

All about hands + GIVEAWAY???

As the chilly weather finally starts to settle in, I am thinking about gloves... I found these this morning, and I think they are way fun:
MICHAEL Michael Kors
Black Leather Studded Cuff Glove
Find it here.

Of course, no winter hand is complete without a good manicure. Vogue has this interesting article on nail colors for this season.
My favorite is the Chanel Khaki Vert....mmmmm. However, if you are looking for a similar color that doesn't cost quite as much, I LOVE Sally Hansen Commander in Chic.

I wear this color often, and it always gets lots of complements. It just adds extra whimsy to pale winter skin.

What is your favorite nail color this season?

Sick week = Sleepwear post

Hello, loves!

I have been sick all week. As a result, I have stayed in my pajamas for the past 4 days. This is making me seriously rethink my tshirt and shorts habit. So, I went looking on etsy for nightgowns - I think having something lovely to sleep in is priceless. :)
I found this:
Sandmaiden Sleepwear
organic cotton pointelle knit tulip chemise with flouncy ruffle
find it here.

So lovely, right?? mmmm, I love soft, swingy sleepwear. Having your nightwear be as fabulous as your daywear really completes the package - makes you feel like a big girl. :)

Do you love to sleep pretty? Or are you more of a ratty tshirt girl?

Have a beautiful day, lovelies!

Necklace infatuation

Hello, loves!

I am a necklace girl for sure. I think a lovely necklace can make such a statement with the right outfit. I found this on etsy today, and I can hardly handle my feelings:
Love Me Forever Necklace
find it here.

Isn't this so precious? It would be great with an elegant dress, or really cute with a simple top and jeans.

What are your thoughts? Are you a necklace girl?

New pants!

Hello, darlings! I am back from Thanksgiving, ready to eat nothing but salads and soup for the next year. :)
I hope your holiday was lovely. I spent time with my favorite people, did some shopping, and ate far too much. My shopping consisted of these items:

1. Jeans from Urban Outfitters:

High Rise Cigarette Jean
2. Boots:

Miz Mooz
Find it here.

It was a lovely week of playing with loved ones. :) And new boots always make things good.

How was your holiday? Did you make any great purchases? I would love to hear your Thanksgiving stories!

Handbag love

Darlings, the search for a beautiful bag is seemingly endless...
I have the terrible habit of buying cheap-ish bags, using them until they are ugly, and then taking a hundred years to commit to a new one. I do not recommend this.
Instead, I think you would be so happy to have a few beautiful, high-quality purses. That way you can rotate, and none of them ever get too trashed. :) The trick is to not go tooooooo trendy, but if you are keeping your costs down, you can afford to get an "it-bag" every season while keeping a rotation of classic pieces as well.
I found this one on Etsy, and I love it:
Find it here.

I think it is so pretty - and the seller says it can be used 4 ways! Gotta love versatility.

Tell me: do you love it? How do you choose/organize your handbag collection?

My friend, AnnieBSP

Hello, dolls!
Today I want to share with you the super-fun knitted items made by my lovely friend, Amy. Her Etsy shop, AnnieBSP, is full of cute hats, bags, and headbands. She makes them by hand with lots of love and a handful of wit. I especially like this one:
Find it here.

What do you think? Can you see yourself sporting a funky hat this winter?

Let me know!

Dress it up or down - and be a babe either way!

I have an older version of this dress( technically it is my mother's - she generously lets me borrow it).
I think this version is simply lovely. It would look beautiful in a somewhat formal context, or add boots and a cardigan and it makes a perfect date-night dress.
What do you think, loves?

This is the one I wear:

Have a marvelous day, vixens!

Staying warm

Darlings, if you live in Texas, you know that the days when you need a full-on winter coat are limited. However, who doesn't feel GORGEOUS in a winter coat?

So, here is one from anthropologie that looks like a lovely winter coat, but is actually a wool sweater:
Alice in Autumn Sweatercoat

You could look warm and nuzzly without sweating - sounds great to me! What do you think?

Have a happy day, lovelies!

My beautiful friend, Laurs

Laurie is one of my dearest friends in the world. She is smart, witty, clever, and totally beautiful. Problem is, until about a year ago, her grad-student money left little room for her to have a cool closet.
We hang out all the time, and naturally we started shopping together. Over the course of several months, with much planning, coffee, magazines, and love, we revamped her wardrobe.
Most of the stuff we purchased were basics, which I showed her how to accessorize. :) Now that Winter is almost upon us and I'm no longer in the same town, she got a bit nervous about how to update her stuff! So, we did an online seasonal update. Here are some of the things she is going to be sporting this season:

This is the epitome of what I hope for when styling someone - empowerment, confidence, and freedom. While the main pieces are things we found together, she has totally taken over and most of the updating was done by her, with me simply there for support and direction.

VICTORY! I LOVE THIS! We can do this, ladies - let's be awesome, confident, sassy foxes together.
