What I wore: Hoopla

Lovelies,

This is what I wore for the more casual day of Hoopla:

Sweater: Urban. Shoes: Anthro. Jeans: Anthro
I wore this sweater A LOT. And i bought it on the trip!

We also ate delicious Thai. nom nom nom.

That's all I've got for you today. I have spent the last 6 hours revamping my closet... Trying to be more of a minimalist....
I'll let you know how that goes. ;)

Catch up! Ketchup!

Somehow, this seems appropriate:

Darlings,
Where has the time gone? Goodness, it has far too long since I wrote you anything. My Boo and I have been running around like maniacs - what with driving 3 hrs to see Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallow Part 2....

Professor Trelawny and Fred Weasley.
A plot twist JKR never anticipated.

... To getting all my new jewels in the mail after Hoopla...

 The box...

 Such yummy goods...
Beautiful, no?

... to figuring out what to wear it all with!

Jewelry: Pegasus, Serpent bangle, by Stella & Dot
Dress: Target
Weird undergarment: Target
Shoes: Target
Belt: Anthropologie
Painting: By my grandmother :)

So, I have accidentally neglected you! I am so sorry - I'm sure you were crying every day.

I'll never break your heart again. Unless I get busy.

How to get hot rolled hair without hot rollers.

Lovies,
I have been dying to do a hair tutorial, but I have such a  terrible camera that I have avoided it. However, that seems like such a silly reason to keep from doing something, so here it is. My first try at a hair tutorial. :)

1. Start with dry hair (I had washed mine at about 7 that morning, dried it, and then styled it around noon so it was thoroughly dry). Day old hair would be good it you can swing it.

 2. Starting at the top, curl the hair straight back down the center of the head, to the nape of the neck.
Work your way down on the sides.
Secure each curl with bobby pins so it stays in.

{this pattern is almost exactly what i did}

3. Let the curls set while you put on your makeup and get dressed.

4. once you are all dolled up, take the pins out and shake it up! Toss your hair around a bit, and mist hairspray all over.

I'll be doing my makeup tutorial soon for this look!

Tell me - is this worth it? Or should I refrain from doing these series until I get a better camera? I'd love to know what you think. :)

Darlings,
I wanted to share what I packed to wear in San Francisco:

looking around for all my crap...

1. For training sessions, a professional yet fun outfit:
Blazer, J. Crew
Shoes, Urban Outfitters
Shirt and Jeans, Target

2. Second Training Day - Easy to wear, casual chic.
Shirt, LOFT
Jeans, Adriano Goldschmied
Shoes, Anthropologie

3. Gala/Dinner/Dance party - needed to look fancy. :)
Dress, Phoebe Couture (from Neimans)
Jewelry, Stella & Dot (DUH)
Shoes, Same pink ones from Urban

Here it all is, with a couple extra shirts thrown in there for good measure, as well as a cardigan from Loft and some scarves.

On Travel day, I stopped at Urban Outfitters and bought this sweater. :) Hair in a scarf.. How does it look?

And so, there is pre-trip and Day One. :) That's how I roll.

Dip-Dye Hair {By Salon Verve}

Darlings,

Today... I decided to go bold. As in, I have new hair.

I have always had pretty conservative hair - long, nice, pretty girl hair. I realized that I am tired of that for now! ;)

SO, I went to Salon Verve to get my hair done by Evette Tritt. She is kind of a whiz - I am always so pleased with her work. I knew she would work with me to create something awesome.

After some discussion, we came up with a strategy. And I wound up with this:

Fabulous dip-dye hair! I even go better with the environment:

Haha. :)
I love it. I love having hair that is as sassy as I feel.

Side note - my outfit today was so fun. I wore a thrifted skirt and a billowy top, with stacked bracelets and funky shoes. So so fun. :)

What do you think? Would you do cotton-candy dip-dye hair? ;)
